The purpose of Communication No. 740 is to recommend the appointment of the following
individual as a member of t~~ 1--1~.y~raii Co~ar~ Water Comr~ission;
1'~Ir. Sohn Clark of Milo, of :~o political af~liatior~, to hill the vacancy created by the
expired term of Nlr. '~~alcoli~ 1~. Saxby for a term ending December 31, 2002.
N1r. Clarks a 13-year resident of 1Jaw-aii, has been thy; President of the Kilauea restaurant
Corporation (dba Fi;~.~cos 1~esat~rart) since 1987. l~#e is presently the President of the
13ig lslan~l Chapter ~fft~~c I~awasi l~est~urant Associ~:tion artd a Director of the ilawaij
St~tc 1Zest~.ur~.nt Ass<~ciati~rri. f-l~~ is also a member ~{f the State Board of registration.
Pursuant to Section 8-2 of th_P 1-Ia~~=ai=:. Coaanty Charter, the ;:~ayor shall appoint members to the
