Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. ]376, regarding Bill 344, reports as follows:
Bill 344, transmitted by Director of Public Works, Bruce McClure, via Communication No. 1376, dated
July 29, 2008 amends Chapter 24, article ] 0, division 2, section 24-265, schedule 13 (Yield locations),
paragraph (e) Kohala, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Editions, as amended), is amended by
adding the following, to appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
~ Ka`ahuhu Homestead Road, southbound approach to bridge crossing North
Kohala Ditch adjacent to parcels identified by TMK Nos. (3) 5-5-002.007
013, 054 and 125
Vice-chair Dominic Yagong conducted this Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee
meeting, and there was no testimony from the public regarding this proposed bill.
This amendment is based on a need to assign the right of way along the subject one lane bridge.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill 344, and recommends its passage on first reading.
