Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 732-08, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 732-08, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 1418
dated August 26, 2008, changes the time element of the following Hawaii County Police Department's
Custodian/Groundskeeper I (1/4T) position to half time. This position services both the Ka`u Police
Station and the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates (HOVE) Police Sub-station. Increasing the position's time
element from 1/4 time tl/2 time will allow for the maintenance of the HOVE sub-station to be increased
from twice a month to twice a week. The additional time will also provide travel time and allow for more
maintenance time at the Ka`u Police Station.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 732-08, and
recommends its adoption.
