i <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. '769 08 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii, in partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) <br />Big Island, provides training for youth sports leaders, coaches, parents, and athletes in order to stop <br />the "win-at-all-cost" coaching model and making "honoring the game" the norm; and <br />WHEREAS, PCA Big Island is part of a national nonprofit organization that has created a <br />movement to transform the culture of youth sports so that every youth athlete can have a positive, <br />character-building experience; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii and PCA Big Island will hold numerous public <br />workshops throughout the Big Island to address the needs of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Parks and Recreation to hold at least two public workshops in Council <br />District 3; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $2,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.500.5507.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,000 <br />Recreation Division OCE <br />(Positive Coaching Workshops -Council <br />District 3) <br />
