WIIEREAS, the I-lawai`i Fire Department works closely with Volunteer hire lighters training them to the highest level to support and assist in saving lives and property; and WI-IEREAS, the Volunteer Fire Fighters respond to emergency brush and structure fires, promoting safety and Following the core values of the I lawai`i Fire Department; and WHEREAS, uniform shirts have been requested by the I-[awai`i Fire Department For the following Volunteer Fire Companies: l-A Pepeekeo, 5-13 T-Iawaiian Acres, 5-(: I~dcn Rock, 5-C fern Forest, 5-D Fern Acres, 6-A Milolii, 6-B Kona Paradise, 7-A Kona Village, 7-13 Kalaoa, 7- C Four Seasons, 8-~A Pa'auilo, 9-A Waikii, 9-B Kanehoa, 10-A Hawaiian Beaches, L0-13 Waawaa, 10-D Ainaloa, 11-A Naalehu, 11-C Discovery LTarbor, 11-D Pahala, 14-A North ICohala, 16-B Pu'uanahulu, l7-A Laupahoehoe, 18-A Hawaiian Paradise Park, L9-A Volcano, 20-A HOVE; and WIIEREAS, the shirts will be worn to identify the Volunteer Fire Fighters at meetings; Funerals, functions and official business; and WHEREAS, Contingency Reliei~ fiords from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the I-iawai`i Fire Department to purchase uniform shirts For the Volunteer Fire Fighters, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY "CiIE COUNCIL OF'1'iTE COUN"CY OF [[AWAI`1 that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIA'T'ION: $2,000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief' $2,000 CREDITED "TO: 010.221.5226.02 I-Iawai`i Fire Department $2,000 "I•raining & Volunteer Fire OCI-~ Public Safety Supplies (Uniform Shirts for Volunteer Dire Fighters)
