Servrng the Interests of the People of Our Island Hawai `r County rs an Equal Opportunity Provrder and Employer FC-45 Page 2 October 21, 2008 Comm. 1506: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER (Res. 778-08) INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, STATE CIVIL DEFENSE, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE FY 2008 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM; and (Bill 377) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 08-78, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2009 {appropriates revenues of $1,095,461 into the following FY 2008 accounts: $1,000,180 -State Homeland Security Program ($1,000,180), and Citizen Corps Program ($95,281); these funds will be used to prevent, deter, respond to, and recover from threats and incidents of terrorism; and it supports the County of Hawaii in leveraging funding to support Homeland Security Initiatives From Finance Director William Takaba, dated October 6, 2008, transmitting the above resolution and bill. FC-45 Page 3 October 21, 2008 Comm. 1510: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER (Res. 779-08) INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE ORGANIZED CRIME DRUG ENFORCEMENT TASK FORCE GRANT; and (Bill 381) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 08-78, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2009 (appropriates revenues of $20,000 into the Hawaii County Police Department's Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force account; these funds will be used for overtime and travel costs incurred by deputized officers during, special investigations and prosecutions) From Finance Director William Takaba, dated October 6, 2008, transmitting the above resolution and bill.
