RESOLUTION NO. 813 08
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture & Arts Division has
requested funds to conduct and implement several new traditional cultural workshops island-
wide;and
WHEREAS, these island-wide workshops will feature healthy cooking
demonstrations, informational sessions on Hawaiian Lapa`au and the art of Lomilomi; and
WHEREAS, the funds will be used for demonstrator/instructor fees, materials and
supplies; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture and Arts Division to be used towards the
traditional cultural workshops; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transfened/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Pazks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
