Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of $8,000 from the King
Kalakaua Statue Committee for the upkeep and maintenance of the statue at
the Kalakaua Park in downtown Hilo.
The Department of Parks Recreation desires to have this resolution go
directly to the Council meeting scheduled on November 6, 1998.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of
Parks 86 Recreation.

RE: Attached Resolution
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County
of Hawai'i, this written approval is submitted in regards to Resolution No.345_98 ,
authorizing an acceptance of a donation of eight thousand dollars ($8,000) from the
King Kalakaua Statue Committee, waiving said referral from the Committee on Finance
in order that appropriate action be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that this waiver be
granted.
