RESOLUTION NO. 82'4 08
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OP'I'HE DONATION OF LOT 48
FROM GKK MAKALEI OWNER, LLC, TAX MAP KEY: (3)7-2-007:001 (PORTION), FOR
THE MAKALEI FIRE STATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF 1'1-iL' COUNTY OF HAWAII:
WHEREAS, GKK MAKALEI OWNER, LLC is the owner of Lot 48 situated at
Ka`upulehu, in the district of North Kona; consisting of 2.802 acres, and more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" and delineated on Exhibit "B" attached hereto; and
WI-IEREAS, GKK MAKALEI OWNER, LLC wishes [o donate the subject property to
the County of Hawaii for the construction of a new Makalei fire station; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the
Council, on behalf of the County of Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII, that accordance with Article XIII; Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charier, the
County of Hawaii accepts the donation of Lot 48 situated at Ka`upulehu, in the district of North
Kona, consisting of 2.802 acres, identified as Tax Map Key:(3)7-2-007:001 (portion), more
particularly described in Exhibit "A" and delineated on L'xhibit "B" attached hereto, from GKK
MAKALEI OWNER, LLC, for the Makalei fire station.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii is directed to
transmit copies of this resolution to: (1) the Mayor; (2) the Finance Director; (3) Fire Chief
Darryl Oliveira; (4) Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase; and (5) GKK Makalei Owner,
LLC, c/o Yamamoto & Settle, 700 Bishop Street, Suite 200, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813
