Your Committee on Planning, to ~~hich ~~as referred Resolution No. 66-97 transmitted by Mayor
Stephen K. Yamashiro via Communication No. 242 dated April 7, 1997, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 6b-97 is to rename a certain roadway within the Kona Heights,
Unit I subdivision, Hienaloli >th anal Gth. North Kona, Hawaii. This resolution renames the
following roadway in Exhibit °A" of Ihis resolution from "Alika Street" (meaning Alex) to
"Alika Place."
Pursuant to Section 22-35, Article Chapter 22 of the Hawaii County Code, the Council is
authorized to adopt street names for l la~caii Cowrty's unnamed roadways.
The Planning Commission rcconuu~•uded favorable consideration for the renaming of the
roadway.
Your Committee on Planning concurs ith the intent and purpose of Resolution No. 66-97 and
recommends its adoption.
