RESOLUTION NO. X28 C8
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER BOB JACOBSON, FOR HIS YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, BOB JACOBSON has represented Council District 6, Puna (Kurtistown, Mt.
View, and Volcano) Ka`u (Pahala, Na`alehu, and HOVE), and South Kona (Miloli`i, Ho`okena, and
portions of Honaunau) since December 2002; and
WHEREAS, during these past six yeat•s, Council Member Bob Jacobson has participated
on all Standing Committees and served as the Vice Chair of the County Council (2004-2005),.
Chair of the Committee on Environmental Management (2004-2005, 2006-2008) Vice Chair of
the Committee on Human Services and Economic Development (2002-2004), Vice Chair of•the
Committee on Finance (2006-2008), Representative to Hawaii State Association of Counties
and Western Interstate Region National Association of Counties (2006-2008); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Bob Jacobson has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and
outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general public throughout the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Bob Jacobson will complete his term of office at Noon on
Monday, December 1, 2008, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all
Council meetings held during his years in office; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII [hat it
hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Member 13ob Jacobson for his years of service,
and offers its best wishes for his continued health, success, and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RF,SOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Member Bob Jacobson.
