Your Committee on Plazming, to which was referred Communication No. 30 dated December 12,
1996, reports as follows:
The purpose of Communication No. 30 is to recommend the appointment of the following
individual as a member of the Planning Commission:
Mrs. Mildred C. Mosher of Ka'u is nominated to fill the vacancy created by the expired
term of Mr. Edward F,. Crook, for a term ending December 31, 2001.
Ms. Mosher is a retiree and was previously employed with Orchid Isle Properties and C.
Brewer Properties. She is presently a member of the Hawaii County Boazd of Appeals
and will resign should her nomination be confirmed by the Council.
Pursuant to Section 5-4.3 of the Hawaii County Charter, the mayor shall appoint members to the
Planning Commission to be confirmed by the Council, as prescribed in Section 13-4 of the
Hawaii County Charter.
Mrs. Mosher, who is familiar with the sunshine law, will comply with the sunshine law and will
have the time to serve on the Planning Commission.
Your Committee on Planning recommends the approval of the appointment of Mrs. Mildred
C. Mosher to the Planning Commission.
