Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 336, reports as follows:
Bill No. 336, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 1052, dated
October 21, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 98-50, as amended, the Capital Budget ending June 30, 1999.
This bill will provide emergency power and pumping capabilities for the wastewater facilities island-wide
in the event of tsunami or other natural disaster. The work will include the following: (1) 600 kw
generator, (2) 2-6 in portable pumps, and (3) 2 10-in portable pumps. Work will also include electrical
and mechanical modifications to the Hilo WTP, Pua SPS, Kealakehe SPS, Hale Halawai SPS, and Wailoa
SPS. The amendment adds the following projects:

Funds for these appropriations shall be provided from:
Federal Grants Receivable $293,785
State Grants Receivable 9,500
Sewer Fund 150,000
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund, Fund Balance 346,715
