SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
PUAINAKO STREET EXTENSION 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT
We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1 (Speed Limits), Section
24-257, Schedule 5 (35 mile per hour limit), pazagraph (c) South Hilo be amended by adding
new item:
~ PUAINAKO STREET EXTENSION, FROM FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-FOUR
FEET EAST OF WILDER ROAD TO WESTERN TERMINUS.
The future plan for the subject road is for the County of Hawaii to turn ownership over to
the State of Hawaii. The need for this amendment is for traffic enforcement purposes,
while the subject road is still under County of Hawaii jurisdiction.
