Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Comm. No.1068, reports as follows:
Communication No. 1068, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated November 5, 1998,
submits for confinnation the appointment of Ms. Beatrice Lau, a Hilo resident, to the County Pension
Boazd to replace Michie M. Kuwaye of Hilo, whose term will expire on December 31, 1998. She is a
retired educator from the State of~ Hawaii Department of Education and is not a member of any political
party. If approved, Ms. Lau will serve a tenn to end on December 31, 2003.
Your Committee on Finance recommends confirmation of the appointment of Ms. Lau to the County
Pension Board.
