Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 306, reports as follows:
Bill No. 306, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 1004, dated
September 18, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 98-49, as aznended, the Operating Budget ending June 30,
1999. The aznendment is as follows:

The King Kalakaua Statue Committee, an ad hoc citizen's group, will be presenting a check to the Culture
& Arts Division of the Department of Pazks and Recreation for the upkeep and maintenance of the statue
at Kalakaua Pazk in downtown Hilo.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 306 and recommends it
pass first reading.
