RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF TWO (2) RUFFNECK
BASKETBALL SYSTEMS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
WHEREAS, Ka'u Ho'olaule'a Ltd. has donated two RuffNeck basketball systems to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for use at the Na'alehu Basketball Courts; and
WHEREAS, this donation has a estimated total value of $2,618; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Ms. Patty Fujimoto, Ka'u
Ho'olaule'a Ltd., P.O. Box 867, Na'alehu, Hawaii 96722, acknowledging this donation.
