Thank you for forwarding Resolution 731-08, which was adopted by the Hawaii County
Council on September 24, 2008, encouraging the administration to research the process for
funding an energy worker-related training program under the Green Jobs Act of 2007.
Energy conservation is also a top priority for Governor Lingle and the Department of
Labor and Industrial Relations. We welcome the opportunity to partner with Hawaii County in
exploring the development of renewable energy training programs, and will advise the County of
any funding opportunities that may become available for these projects.
