Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 289, reports as follows:
Bill No. 289, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 972, dated
September 2, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 98-SQ, as amended, the Capital Budget ending June 30, 1999,
by increasing the following appropriation:
PUBLIC WORKS
Kaahakini Bridge Rehabilitation Project [$125,000] $135,000
(110-399-5392.93-115)
Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund, Fund Balance and/or Other Sources $10,000
The additional funds are required to pay for environmental studies not foreseen by the original cost
estimate.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 289 and recommends it
pass first reading.
