Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 288, reports as follows:
Bill No. 288, transmitted by Finance llirector Hany Takahashi, via Communication No. 971, dated
September 2, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 98-SQ, as amended, the Capital Budget ending June 30, 1999,
by increasing the following appropriation:
PUBLIC WORKS
Opea/Mamalahoa Bridge Replacement [$141,000] $156,000
(110-399-5393.31-115)
Funds for this appropriation increase shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds. Capital Projects Pund, Fund Balance and/or Other Sources $15.000
The additional funds are required duc to the complexity of various aspects of the project.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 288,and recommends it
pass first reading.
