It is my pleasure to submit for your confirmation the appointment of Warren H.W. Lee as a
County of Hawaii Director of Public Works, pursuant to the charter of the County of Hawaii.
This appointment was effective December 8, 2008.
Mr. Lee was President of Hawaii Electric Light Company from July 1991 to March 2008, and
served in various engineering and management positions with Hawaiian Electric Company from
1972 to 1990.

He is also Vice-Chair of the Hawaii Island United Way 2008 Campaign, and Co-Chair of the
Hawaii Island United Way 2008 Mayor's Cup.
Mr. Lee will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end December 3, 2012.
