Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 824-08, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 824-08, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, via Communication
No. 1580, dated November ] 0, 2008, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of Lot 48 from GKK Makalei
Owner, LLC, Tax Map Key: (3) 7-2-007:001 (portion) for the Makalei Fire Station.
Pursuant to Article XIIL Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the Cowtty, may
accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real
estate.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the GKK Makalei Owner, L'LC, c/o Yamamoto & Settle, 700 Bishop
Street, Suite 200, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, adrnowledging this generous donation.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 824-08, and
recommends~ils adoption.
