Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 274, reports as follows:
Bill No. 274, transmitted by Finance Director Hany Takahashi, via Communication No. 925,
dated July 16, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 98-50, relating to public improvements and
financing thereof for the fiscal year July 1, 1998, to June 30, 1999, by adding the following
project:
PUBL[C WORKS
Hoomana Road/Malanai Road/Spring Street Drainage (110-399-5391.03-I 15)
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
2236.02 Unalloted Appropriation Fuel Tax Increase 94-96 Account of the Capital Projects
Fund
The purpose of this bill is to add the Hoomana Road/Malanai Road/Spring Street Drainage
Improvement project to the list of Engineering Division Projects, South Hilo Fuel Tax District as
specified in Ordinance No. 97-134. Work will include construction of new drywells and
modification of an existing drywell.
A second draft of Bill No. 274 was submitted to correct a typographical error. Malanai Road
was incorrectly spelled Malani Road.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 274, Dratt 2 sand
recommends it pass first reading.
