Re: Resolution to Negotiate Lease
The County of HawaiTs Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is designed to be a
one-stop center for finding information on services for our seniors and disabled community.
The ADRC, located at 1055 Kino'ole Street in Hilo, brings together several County and
private programs serving seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The County of Hawai'i wishes to lease approximately 608.5 square feet of office space
within the ADRC, identified as being a portion of Tax Map Key: (3)2-2-020:014, to the
Center for Independent Living, a nonprofit organization. The Center for Independent Living
will be providing support to the Office of Aging regarding inquiries for those with disabilities.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Director of Finance to negotiate a lease of real
property to the Center for Independent Living.

A. REQUEST:
Authorization to allow Director of Finance to negotiate a lease of real property to Center for Independent
Living, a nonprofit organization.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Property to be leased to Center for Independent Living is approximately 608.5 square feet, located at 1055
Kino'ole Street, Hilo, Hawai'i 96720, TMK (3)2-2-020:014 (portion). The rent shall be scheduled to start on
February 1, 2009. Center for Independent Living will be providing support to the Office of Aging regarding
inquiries for those with disabilities.
