RE: Request for opportunity to address the Council regarding
contingency relief fund processing
The Office of the Corporation Counsel respectfully requests an opportunity
to address the Hawaii County Council on the processing of contingency relief
funds, the legal parameters of the expenditure of these funds, and a general
discussion of the public purpose doctrine.
We would appreciate you placing this matter on the Council's agenda at
an upcoming meeting. I will also solicit from Council members any questions
they may have concerning contingency relief funds so our discussion may be as
productive as possible.
