Bill No. 231, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 264-98 by Finance Director Harry Takahashi,
via Communication No. 821, dated Apri122, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 97-83, the Operating
Budget, as amended, ending June 30, 1998, as follows:

The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force through the Drug Enforcement Administration
has provided the aforementioned grant for the investigations and prosecution of major drug
trafficking organizations. These funds will cover the overtime and travel incurred by deputized
officers.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 231 and
recommends it pass first reading.
