No. 812Bi11 No. 226 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:45 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 226, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 226, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 812, <br /> dated April 17, 1998, repeals Ordinance No. 97-80 and all amendments thereto and shall be <br /> known as the Salary Ordinance of 1998. <br /> Pursuant to Article III, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, all persons employed by the <br /> County or any of its boards or commissions, whether as officers or otherwise, except those <br /> whose gay is other wise provided for shall be paid in accordance with a pay plan enacted by <br /> ordinance. The Salary Ordinance also designates payroll periods, pay days, and prescribes <br /> certain requirements with respect to overtime, perquisites and official fidelity bonds. <br /> Section 8.08 of Bill No. 226 was amended to add the Public Works Student Helper I position at a <br /> rate of $5.25 hourly.
