Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 225, reports as follows:
Bill No. 225, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 811,
dated April 16, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 97-82, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending
June 30, 1998 by adding the following projects:
PUBLIC WORKS
Mamalahoa (Kamamalu-Lindsey) Impr -Parker $71,413.50
(110-399-5394.21-115)
Mamalahoa (Kamamalu-Lindsey) Impr-CARA $48,670.00
(110-399-5394.22-] IS)
Funds for these projects shall be provided from:
Private Contributions Receivable $120,083.50
Parker Ranch and the California Association for Research in Astronomy (W M Keck
Observatory) have agreed to pay for their portions of the costs related to the Mamalahoa
(Kamamalu-Lindsey) project.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 225 and
recommends it pass first reading.
