Kenoi, dated December 15, 2008, requesting the confirmation of the above appointment, pursuant to Article VI, §6-1.2, Hawaii County Charter. Mr. Takaba will serve a term co-terminus with the Mayor. This appointment was effective at noon on December 1, 2008. Recommends confirmation of the appointment of William Takaba as County of Hawaii Managing Director. Comm. 55: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 08-78, AS AMENDED, THE (Bill 11) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2009 (appropriates revenues of $850,000 to the Police Department's Wireless E911 System account to be used for technical functionality; $650,000 is additional funds from the State of Hawaii Wireless Enhanced 911 Board, and $250,000 are funds that were inadvertently placed in the Wireless E911 Fees account) From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated December 17, 2008, transmitting the above bill. FC-2 Page 4 January 6, 2009 Comm. 58: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 04-59 OF THE COUNTY (Bill 12) OF HAWAII, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 04-154, PERTAINING TO THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING VARIOUS PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS DESCRIBED THEREIN (adds language to the bond authorization ordinance, in which the County states that it may incur some capital expenditures in advance of the issuance of the bonds and declares its intention to reimburse itself in such cases) From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated December 19, 2008, transmitting the above bill. If that occurs, individual Councilmembers may be at either the meeting site or one of the videoconference sites. If the audio stream is lost for more than a short period of time, the meeting will be terminated.
