No. 782 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> <br /> TIME: 10:45 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 782, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 782, transmitted by Finance Committee Chair Aaron Chung, dated <br /> <br /> Mazch 31, 1998, states that the Committee is in the process of purging outdated measures and <br /> requests the file closure of several deferred items. In particular, Resolution No. 293, transmitted <br /> <br /> by Council Chair Keiko Bonk-Abramson, dated Mazch 7, 1996, requesting the Mayor to initiate <br /> a land exchange with Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate to acquire 1,000 acres in Hamakua <br /> <br /> for the development of a County agricultural pazk, or to be leased to legitimate farmers or <br /> <br /> fazming organizations. <br /> This measure was originally heazd on Apri12, 1996, and deferred pending more information <br /> <br /> from the administration and the Hamakua/North Hilo Agricultural Cooperative.
