Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 17-09, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 17-09, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 30,
dated 121212008, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Ka`u Ho`olaule`a Ltd. of two (2)
RuffNeck basketball systems to the Department of Parks and Recreation valued at $2,618.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the County,
may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Ka`u Ho`olaule`a Ltd., PO Box 867, Naalehu, Hawaii 96722,
acknowledging this generous donation.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 17-09, and
recomrnends its adoption.
