Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 206, reports as follows:
Bill No. 206, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 749,
dated Mazch 5, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 97-83, as amended, the Operating Budget ending
June 30, 1998, as follows:

3609.10 Fund Balance from Previous Year Vehicle Disposal $200,000
To:
075-641-5641.02-115 Veh & Parts Disposal -Misc. C/S Vehicle Disposal $200,000
Funds will be used for the expeditious removal of tires and scrap metal from abandoned
vehicles. The accumulation of tires at both the East and West Hawaii collection sites poses a
hazard.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 206 and
recommends it pass first reading.
