RESOLUTION
DESIGNATING THE COUNCIL CHAIRMAN AND THE VICE CHAIRMAN
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
James Y. Arakaki be and he is hereby declared the duly elected
Chairman and Presiding Officer of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, effective December 2, 1996.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Councilman Al Smith be and he is
hereby declared the duly elected Vice Chairman of the Council of the
County of Hawaii.
Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 2nd day of December, 1996.
