RESOLUTION NO. 12 9 S
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TIlE APPROPRIATION AND USE OF PRIOR YEAR
FUNDS RESULTING FROM THE CANCELLATION OF A CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, in the fiscal year ended June 30,1996, the sum of $73,925.50 was
encumbered by various departments in the accounts listed below from funds duly appropriated in
that fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, in the current fiscal year, contract number 96324 was canceled due to non-
performance by the contractor, resulting in the formerly-encumbered funds appearing in the
unexpended allotment balance of the current year's budget status; and
WHEREAS, these funds are still needed for the purpose of the original appropriation,
which was the purchase and installation of computer equipment, software and peripheral items.
TIlEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIlE COUNCIL OF TIlE COUNTY OF
HAW All that the following amounts that appear in the unencumbered balance of the accounts
below be and are hereby appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and is hereby directed and
instructed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance be and is hereby authorized allow the expenditure of these funds in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
