Chairman Ikeda and members of the County Council,
PAGE2
I am writing to encourage your support for approving the La'ipala Subdivision.
As future development will happen in Kona, let it follow the example that
La'ipala demonstrates in its choice to apply LEED standards to its planning
efforts. Taking care to lessen impact in construction by integrating with the
surroundings, use more energy efficient, sustainable materials throughout the
development's homes will be in even greater demand once the project begins.
I live on Ko'ako'a Street and do not believe that the additional use of Queen
Kalama by those living in the development will adversely affect traffic.
I am encouraged that this sort of development will continue the neighborhood
atmosphere that we currently enjoy.
Respectfully,
]one Dulaney
