Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 189, reports as follows:
Bill No. 189, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 669,
dated December 31, 1997, amends Ordinance 97-82, the Capital Budget, as amended, ending
June 30, 1998, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS
Hilo Road Improvements, Phase III -Federal $4,000,000
(110-399-5392.91-115)
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
Federal Grants Receivable $4,000,000
These funds will be used for the widening and resurfacing of the following:
• Kalanianaole Street from Kauhane Street to Lokoaka Street
• Kinoole Street from Puainako Street to Haihai Street
• Kawailani Street from Komohana Street to Kupulau Street
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 189 and
recommends it pass first reading.
