RESOLUTION NO.~
RESOLUTION AMENDING SALARY ORDINANCE 96-64, BY ADDING A POSITION OF
DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF FINANCE.
WHEREAS, Article III, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, provides for
interim amendments to the Salary Ordinance be made by resolution;
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3.(c), Hawaii County Charter, authorizes
the mayor to "Create positions, including position of deputy or assistant to each
head of an agency...for which appropriations have been made by the
council...";
WHEREAS, this position would be funded by the department's salaries and
wages account;
WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-3.3.(1), Hawaii County Charter, provides for
the appointment of a deputy director of finance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that Ordinance No. 96-64 is hereby amended for the following
department:
Section 8.04 DEP ARTMENT OF FINANCE.
