Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 188, reports as follows:
Bill No. 188 transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 213, by Finance Director Harry Takahashi,
via Communication No. 660, dated December 24, 1997, amends Ordinance 97-83, as amended,
the Operating Budget ending June 30, 1998.
The amendment is as follows:

3302.03 Federal Grants -Speed Enforcement General $61,500
TO
010-201-5219.46-454 Laser Speed Detection General $61,500
These funds will be used to purchase 8 laser units, 2 collision measurement systems, 1 computer
and 1 plotter. The purchase of these equipment should improve the County's speed limit
enforcement program aimed at reducing facilities and injuries.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 188 and
recommends it pass first reacting.
