RESOLUTION NO. 4 9 97
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ROADWAY LOT FROM AINALOA COMMUNITY
ASSOCIATION, INC.
WHEREAS, AINALOA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION, INC. is the owner of
those lots with Tax Map Key Numbers 1-6-65-109, 1-6-99-64,
1-6-99-65, 1-6-99-66, and 1-6-99-67, which together comprise a
roadway known as Ainaloa Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has the public purpose of
acquiring real property for the purpose of creating a project
known as the Puna Emergency Road, located at Waikehekahe Nui in
Puna; and
WHEREAS, the above-noted property presently owned by Ainaloa
Community Association, Inc. is a significant part of the project;
and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of
Hawaii may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOH, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII~ OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, thB County of Hawaii accepts the

donation of the above-noted roadway lots located in Puna from the
Ainaloa Community Association, Inc. for the purpose of creating
the Puna Emergency Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County of Hawaii County
Clerk is hereby directed to forward copies of this resolution to
the Chief Engineer of the County of Hawaii and to the Aina10a
Community Association, Inc.
