",,'- COUNTY OF HAWAII"':, STATE OF HAWAII RESOLU,TION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A SWING SET FROM THE HAWAII COUNTY ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL'S HEAD START PROGRAM TO BE USED AT THE HAWAIIAN BEACHES PARK. WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council's Head Start Program has donated a 4-seat split swing set to the County of Hawaii, Parks & Recreation Department, for the Hawaiian Beaches Park playground; and WHEREAS, the value of the donated swing set is Six Hundred and Sixty-Seven Dollars ($667.00); and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of personal property. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii, Department of Parks & Recreation, is authorized to accept the donation of a 4-seat split swing set from the Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council's Head Start Program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii is directed to transmit copies of this resolution to George Yoshida, Director of the Parks & Recreation and Sue Mathews, Education Coordination, Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council, Head Start Program.
