RESOLU1ION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FROM RAMONA MEW LANG CHOW ROPEK and ALICE A. SMITH; TAX
MAP KEY NUMBER (3)2-2-41-121 (POR.).
WHEREAS, Ramona Mew Lang Chow Ropek and Alice A. Smith are
the owners of real property in Hilo, Hawaii, specifically Tax Map
Key No. (3)2-2-41:121 (por.), which contains 134 square feet; and
WHEREAS, that portion of their property is presently being
encroached upon as a turning radius for the intersection of
Kahaopea Street and Kanoelehua Avenue; and
WHEREAS, they have graciously donated this portion of their
property to the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County
Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County of
Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of
the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the
donation of real property, identified as Tax Map Key
Number (3)2-2-41:121 (portion), consisting of 134 square feet,
from Ramona Mew Lang Chow Ropek and Alice A. Smith.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent
to Ramona Mew Lang Chow Ropek and Alice A. Smith.
