RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE SINCEREST CONDOLENCES OF THE HA WAIl COUNTY
COUNCIL AT THE LOSS OF OFFICER KENNETH K. KELIIPIO
Whereas, Kenneth K. Keliipio, Police Officer for the County of Hawaii, passed away in the line
of duty on March 28, 1997 at the age of 35; and
Whereas, Officer Keliipio joined the Hawaii County Police Department on October], ] 990, as a
member of the Department's 46th recruit class; and
Whereas, upon completion of his recruit training, Officer Keliipio was assigned to the South
Hilo Patrol Division as a Police Officer I, and soon thereafter promoted to Police Officer II; and
Whereas, Officer Ke/iipio has received numerous letters of appreciation commending his
professionalism, dedication and sincere desire to serve our Big Island communities; and
Whereas, Officer Keliipio has personified the essential qualities of a public servant, never
ceasing to generously devote his time and energy to those in need; and
Whereas, while the County of Hawaii is grieved at the loss of a noble, exemplary Police Officer,
his contributions to the community will long be remembered by the many lives he so positively
influenced and by his compassion he so unselfishly shared.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that it extends its deepest sympathy and condolences to Officer Keliipio's wife, Mrs. Cheryl
Ann Keliipio, son Mr. Kevin Keliipio, father Mr. Paul M. Keliipio Sr., and family.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii transmit true cC',Jies of
this resolution to Mrs. Cheryl Ann Keliipio, Mr. Kevin Keliipio, Mr. Paul M. Keliipio Sr. and th~ tamily
of the late Officer Kenneth K. Keliipio.
