RESOLUTION INCREASING TIME ELEMENT OF TWO (2) PARK CARETAKERS FOR
KA'U AND KONA.
WHEREAS, with the addition of the new Kahuku Park in the
Hawaiian Oceanview Subdivision and the expansion by nine (9) acres
of the Old Kona Airport sports complex, maintenance in the districts
of Ka'u and Kona are inadequate; and
WHEREAS, by increasing the time element of Park Caretaker I
2/5T, Position No. 3286, in the Ka'u District, the extended hours
for the weekend worker will greatly help in maintaining the parks
during the week days; and
WHEREAS, by increasing the time element of Park Caretaker I
21ST, Position No. 3127, in the Kona District, the additional
manpower hours would ease in maintaining the facilities to a
respectable standard; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the regular salaries and
wages account of the Parks Maintenance to cover the cost of the
additional time element.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that Position Nos. 3286 and 3127, Park Caretaker I 2/5T,
WB-02, be changed to Park Caretaker I, WB-02.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds are available in
010-505-5505.01-011, Parks Maintenance Regular Salaries and Wages
account of the Department of Parks & Recreation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Departments of Parks & Recreation, Finance and
Civil Service.
