COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 91 97 RESOLUTION INCREASING TIME ELEMENT AND REALLOCATION OF BUILDING CUSTODIAN I 1/2T TO PARK CARETAKER I. WHEREAS, the North Kohala District does not have a position that works weekends to clean the various parks; and WHEREAS, the King Kamehameha Statue attracts many tourists over the weekend, and the restrooms and surrounding areas need to be cleaned regularly; and WHEREAS, an additional five (5) acres have been added to the Hisaoka Gym area; and WHEREAS, cleaning up is currently done either on Saturday or Sunday, whenever employees are willing to work overtime; and WHEREAS, by reallocating Position No. 2852, Building Custodian I 1/2T, BC-02, to Park Caretaker I, BC-02, and increasing the time element from half-time to fulltime, weekend coverage for restroom sanitation and rubbish pickup will be accomplished, as well as on the holidays; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the regular salaries and wages account of the Department of Parks & Recreation, Parks Maintenance Division. . . . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Position No. 2852, Building Custodian I 1/2T, BC-02, be changed to Park Caretaker I, BC-02. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds are available in 010-505-5505.01-011, Parks & Recreation, Parks Maintenance's Regular Salaries and Wages account. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Departments of Parks & Recreation, Finance and Civil Service. Dated at Hi1o, Hawaii, this 18th day of June , 1997.
