<br />-.--..------- <br /> <br />---------- ----------.- -- ---- ---- <br /> <br />L._ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />a. 4;.. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />93 97 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CREATING A POWER MOWER OPERATOR POSITION FOR THE KONA <br />DISTRICT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks & Recreation, Parks Maintenance <br />Division, has over 120 workers maintaining daily island-wide <br /> <br />operations of 130 parks and facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because of the expansion of an additional 13+ acres of <br /> <br />ballfield at the Kona Gym, the workload to upkeep ballfields has <br /> <br />increased greatly; and <br />WHEREAS, the additional acreage at the Kona Gym is a highly <br /> <br />visible and well-used area, necessitating maintenance of acceptable <br /> <br />standards on a long-term basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Power Mower Operator, Be-03 position, would assist in <br />maintaining facilities to an acceptable standard in the entire North <br /> <br />and South Kona Districts, which includes eight (8) parks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds within the Department of <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation, Parks Maintenance Division, to cover the cost <br /> <br />of the additional position. <br />
