Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 638, reports as follows:
Communication No. 638, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated December I5,
1997, nominates Ms. Alberta H. Lindsay to the Hawaii County Pension Board.
A two yeaz resident of Hawaii, Ms. Lindsay will replace Mr. Bradley T. Kinoshita whose term
will expire on December 31, 1997. A retired school administrator and psychologist, she is
involved with the Lyman Museum, the Civil Air Patrol, and the Recycling Fundamental Group.
A Republican, she will serve a term to end December 31, 2002.
Pursuant to Article V, Section 5-3.4 of the Hawaii County Charter, the members of the Hawaii
County Pension Boazd shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of the appointment of Ms. Alberta H.
Lindsay to the Hawaii County Pension Board.
