Subject: Support Reso.s 826-08, 26-09, 29-09 on Jan 23
Dear Council members,
Please support these at the Jan. 23 meeting:
Reso. 826-08 to ban food, paper, and compostable organics from landfills
Recycling and composting help keep our landfills from overflowing and requiring costly solutions.
Reso. 26-09 to begin identifying economic stimulus programs that our County could use.
There should be stiff competition for these programs, so it makes sense to be proactive.
Reso. 29-09 for the pilot Vote by Mail program.
This should help more citizens vote. This, in turn, should increase the chances that officials elected and measures
passed reflect the will of most of the citizens. And this should decrease wrangling over issues.
