COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 1 0 3 97 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COST ADJUSTMENTS AGREED UPON BY THE EMPLOYERS FOR EXCLUDED MANAGERIAL EMPLOYEES COVERED BY CHAPTER 77, HRS. WHEREAS, Section 89C-3 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes relating to public officers and employees excluded from collective bargaining permits the directors of personnel services of the State and counties (serving as representatives of their respective chief executives) and the administrative director of the courts (serving as representative of the chief justice) to decide by majority vote on adjustments to be made for officers and employees covered under chapter 77, HRS; and WHEREAS, Section 89C-5 requires that such adjustments which constitute cost items are subject to appropriations by the appropriate legislative bodies; and WHEREAS, agreement has been reached among the representatives of the State and counties for certain adjustments to be made for officers and employees covered by chapter 77, HRS, and the cost items included in the proposed adjustment are shown on the attached exhibit; and WHEREAS, the total cost to the County of Hawaii over the two years from July 1, 1995 through June 30, 1997 as shown in the exhibit attached to this resolution will be $204,126; and WHEREAS, the budget for FY 1997-98 as presented to the County Council includes an account to cover entitled Provision for Compensation Adjustments, and the cost of these items will be covered from this account; . . . . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAW All that the cost items included in this proposed adjustment as shown on the attached exhibit are approved.
