RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FROM STERLING JACK LUM CHOW AND LESLIE SOOK-HEE CHOW; TAX
MAP KEY (3)2-8-02:003(PORTION).
WHEREAS, STERLING JACK LUM CHOW and LESLIE SOOK-HEE CHOW are the
owners of real property at Kaupakuea, District of South Hilo, Island, County and State of
Hawaii, specifically identified as Tax Map Key (3)2-8-02:003(portion); consisting of 0.43 acre,
being more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and delineated on Exhibit "B" attached hereto;
and
WHEREAS, the County homestead road (Kaupakuea Homestead Road) infringes upon
the subject property; and
WHEREAS, STERLING JAC~ LUM CHOW and LESLIE SOOK-HEE CHOW have
graciously donated this property to the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the
Council, on behalf of the County of Hawaii, may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII, that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the
County of Hawaii accepts this donation of real property, identified as Tax Map
Key (3)2-8-02:003, consisting of 0.43 acre, from STERLING JACK LUM CHOW and LESLIE
SOOK-HEE CHOW.

Being a Portion of Lot 14 of Kaupakuea Homesteads,
Portion of Grant 6496 to Manuel de Mello
Kaupakuea, South Hilo, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii
Beginning at the west corner of this parcel of land, on the south side ot 30 foot
Homestead Road (Kaupakuea Homestead Road) opposite the corner of Lots 7 and 8,
the coordinates ot said point of beginning referred to Government Survey Triangulation
Station "Kauku" being 407.0 feet North and 5,516.8 feet East, and running by azimuths
measured clockwise from True South:
