HomeMy WebLinkAboutNTC FC 05/20/2008 Real Property Tax Rates - Affordable Rental Housing 2006-2008 COMMITTEE ON FINANCE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to the requirements of Section 19-90, Article 11, Chapter 19 of the Hawaii County Code, notice is hereby given that the following public hearing will be held by the Committee on Finance of the County of Hawaii for the purpose of considering real property tax rates for the Affordable Rental Housing class of real property in the County of Hawaii for Fiscal Year July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009. TIME: 5:00 p.m. ~ Tit PLACE: County Council Room IDat®--- 47 Ben Franklin Bldg. ntyoun 333 Kilauea Avenue, Second Floor Hilo, Hawaii The Committee on Finance will consider the following tax rate within the following range of rates for new class, Affordable Rental Housing, of real property for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009: BUILDING LAND CLASS OF PROPERTY Per $1,000 Net Valuation Per $1,000 Net Valuation Approximate Ran ye of- Approximate Range of- A. Affordable Rental Housing $5.55-$6.35 $5.55-$6.35 All persons desiring to express their views on the above matter may do so orally at the hearing and must register with the County Clerk's staff. Those submitting written testimony at the hearing should bring 15 copies for distribution. Testimony may also be submitted: (1) by mail to the County Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Room No. 209, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720, (2) by facsimile to (808) 961-8912, or (3) by email to counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us. For testimony received via email or fax, copies will be distributed at the hearing when transmitted in a timely manner. All oral and written testimony will be made a part of the public record.
